Who we are

.Hi! I’m Nicole Thompson — a junior at Concordia University majoring in Behavioral Sciences, with dreams of becoming a therapist and dependency counselor. My passion for social circus comes from my own story: growing up, programs like this didn’t exist, and I longed for a creative outlet and community. That gap led me down some tough roads — ones I now want to help others avoid.

Today, I’m blending my love of circus arts with my heart for healing and youth empowerment. I’ve been a contortionist and aerialist for over 12 years, and have coached children’s gymnastics at several Austin-area gyms. I have completed aerial teacher training, and I hold certifications in pilates, personal training, yoga, and CPR/AED through I.S.S.A. At 16, I completed my pro-track professional training program in Physical theatre and circus arts at The Actors Gymnasium in Evanston, IL. I also frequent N.E.C.C.A. to advance my education. Working with kids lights me up — and I believe circus can be a powerful path to confidence, connection, and joy.

Through my Social Circus program, NmtFlex hosted at Bat City Circus, my mission is to create an inclusive, accessible space where young people can discover their strength, creativity, and community — no matter their background.

Let’s lift each other up — one handstand at a time. 🤸🏽‍♀️🎪❤️
